Josh Wesolowski
Director of Product and Experience, CosMc’s
McDonald’s
As the Digital of Product and Experience for CosMc’s, it’s Josh’s role to provide the strategic direction for the customer and crew experience across all digital channels and build out the full tech stack to support that vision. Drawing on his previous innovation work in digital and restaurant design, Josh worked closely with his cross-functional partners in Ops, Marketing, Menu, Insights, and Restaurant Design to lead the service design work and build out the holistic end-to-end vision for how the multi-lane drive thru model works.
Prior to joining the CosMc’s team, Josh was the Product and Service Design lead in the Global MCX organization responsible for the design and development of Ready On Arrival, a geofence mobile order ahead solution that involves significant changes
to both the Global Mobile App and POS system. The solution brings significant speed benefits to mobile ordering and, after a successful US rollout in 2023, is now set to scale globally across McDonald’s top 6 markets by 2025. In addition to Ready on Arrival, Josh led the service design and product efforts with the McDonald’s Order Ahead Drive Thru Lane, which is currently in Pilot in two locations: Dallas Fort Worth and Chicago.

Prior to Josh’s digital work, he started his McDonald’s career in US Restaurant
Development and later Global Restaurant development, where he led several
Experience of the Future (EOTF) efforts with Kiosks, stand-alone McCafé’s, and
Flagship locations. These efforts ultimately helped him build out the Service Area Modernization solution that scaled the US restaurant system with EOTF.
