Donald Roberts is Vice President of Global Architecture & Design at Dine Brands with 30 years of experience in architecture, design, branding, and building. Don is responsible for ensuring the design and execution of restaurant developments are coordinated and aligned to deliver dynamic guest experiences through sustainable scopes of work and provide return on investment. Additionally, Don is responsible for ownership and execution of A&D services across global platforms consisting of traditional, non-traditional, ghost kitchens, and international restaurant development.

Prior to joining Dine in 2016, Don founded Don Roberts DESIGN (DRD), a design and integration consultancy serving creative development for the entertainment, amusement, hospitality, automotive, and restaurant industries. DRD was responsible for developing concepts and strategies for the Walt Disney Company, Hasbro, Nintendo, Sony, and 20th Century Studios.

Before founding DRD, Don served as Director of Concept Integration & Design at Yum! Brands, where he led a diverse team collaborating within a multi-discipline environment of architecture, engineering, marketing, operations, finance, strategic planning, development, construction, franchise owners, and consultants to support new-store development, growth initiatives, and system remodeling.

Prior to his role at Yum! Brands, Don was Principal Production Designer and Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, responsible for leading teams who developed billions in global assets and intellectual property value by translating concepts into feasible, profitable attractions through concept design and innovation, project development, and execution.

Don is a member of the advisory board of Connecting Point/Restaurant Point West (RPW), which brings together chain restaurant executives representing the most important quick serve, fast casual, and full-service chains west on the Mississippi. RPW events provide an intimate and focused forum, designed to maximize productivity for chain and supplier executives seeking to innovate, expand, and develop strategic partnerships for design, construction, renovation, facilities, Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment.

Don is a graduate of Otis College of Art and Design and currently resides in Murrieta, CA, with his wife Phyllis and two children, Lauren and Cameron.
