Dawn Clark is senior vice president, leading Starbucks Coffeehouse Design & Concepts teams. Dawn previously served as vice president of International Store Design + Global Concepts from 2010-2012, leading the creation of the design studios across Starbucks global markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia and Latin America. Dawn’s career includes decades of practice with international architecture and design firms and with brands including Nike, Seibu and Sogo of Japan, Harrods of London, and Harvey Nichols. She also she served as Senior Vice President of store design, construction and visual merchandising at Nordstrom and was most recently Director, Design & Construction at Amazon. Dawn studied Art & Architecture at the University of Oregon and University of California at Berkeley, culminating in a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder. Dawn is a licensed Architect and LEED AP accredited professional. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cold-water surfing on the Washington coast. She also loves to immerse herself in the global creative culture of art and design and has a lifelong practice of photography and painting. Her favorite Starbucks beverages are ever evolving, although she developed an enduring love of Sumatra coffee beans while earning her Coffee Master black apron.
